On Wednesday November 12th, T.D.M. (Total Dairy Management), representative of S.A.E. Afikim in Italy, received a Certificate of Honor for its contribution to Israeli export. The award was presented to the company President Mr. Maurizio Ruggeri, by the Prime Minister Mr. Ehud Olmert and the Minister for Industry and Trade Mr. Elie Ishai during the Prime Minister’s Conference on Export to that was held in Jerusalem.
The Prime Minister’s Conference, in which 1500 businessmen and women from Israel and around the world participated, dealt with actions needed to be taken by the government and public sector in order to best survive the global crisis.
President of S.A.E. Afikim, Yossi Shemer, said that beyond the direct contribution to sales, the Italian company is a partner in the research and testing of new technologies developed by S.A.E. Afikim and their implementation into the worldwide dairy market and employs Israeli consultants from all fields of nutrition and Israeli dairy farming. Over the years the company has initiated many visits by Italian dairy farmers to Israel that has contributed to the tourism industry and made the visitors ambassadors in their own country of Israel in general and of Israeli agriculture in particular.
